“Come for the koi. But make sure you sit in the right place.”
As much about the setting as what you order — koi swim around the seating on the ground floor for a genuinely immersive meal. Where you sit changes the whole experience, so choose deliberately.
Know Before You Go
If you're coming specifically for the koi experience, wait for the ground floor. If you're hungry, short on time or don't want to wait, the upper level is still an option — but it's not quite the same experience. On our visit, the ground-floor wait was about an hour, so we took an immediately-available upstairs table instead.
Oasis Cafe is as much about the setting as what you order. Koi swim around the seating area, creating the feeling of having a meal or drink surrounded by fish. However, the full experience depends heavily on where you sit. The ground floor provides the immersive experience typically associated with Oasis Cafe, letting you sit among the koi. Tables upstairs are also available, but from there you mostly get a view down toward the koi rather than the same immersive experience.

Founder experience
On the founder's visit, the ground-floor wait was about an hour; not wanting to wait, they accepted an upstairs table, which was available immediately. The food was good. The ordering was memorable too — guests were given pen and paper to write their own order and hand it to staff.
